1. Who we are
YM PropertyPath (“PropertyPath”, “we”) operates the website, mobile web app, and related APIs for real-estate discovery and management in Uganda.
2. Data we collect
- Account: name, phone, role, optional password
- KYC / applications: National ID or passport references, income proofs, guarantors, employment, landlord references
- Property: listings, photos, GPS, ownership verification packages
- Transactions: wallet ledger, escrow, marketplace payments
- Usage: device, logs, PathAI chat prompts, analytics
- Communications: inquiries, CRM notes, SMS/WhatsApp reminder metadata
3. How we use data
To provide rentals workflow (inquiry → lease → move-out), screening support, payments, fraud risk signals, AI matching/marketing, customer support, security, and product improvement. We do not sell personal data.
4. Sharing
We share data with: the other party to a transaction (e.g. landlord sees applicant details); payment providers (MoMo, Airtel, banks, card networks, Stripe, Paddle, PayPal, Pesapal); contractors assigned to jobs; messaging channels you opt into (including WhatsApp, SMS, email, in-app, and X Chat); regulators when legally required; and infrastructure processors under contract.
5. Retention
We retain account and transaction records as needed for legal, tax, and dispute purposes. You may request deletion subject to lawful retention duties.
6. Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS in production), and least-privilege practices. No method is 100% secure protect your OTP and devices.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, or request deletion of personal data, and object to certain processing. Contact operations@property-path.com
8. Children
The service is not directed at children under 18.
9. International transfers
Data may be processed on servers outside Uganda (e.g. cloud hosting). We take reasonable steps to protect it.
10. Changes
We may update this Policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, in-product notice.
